of its author, Swami Vedanta Desikan. 

According to the Vidura Neeti, there are eight supreme qualities that make a person truly exalted. Mukkur Swami establishes and concludes that  Swami Desikan possessed every single one of these qualities in absolute perfection. Because he is such a supremely qualified soul (Adhikari),
the Paduka Sahasram that flowed from his lips is of unmatched greatness, making it and extrodinary blessing for us to hear and study.
